The school mental health team collaborates with outside services and organizations, teachers, administration and other staff at PBA to support students and families in a variety of ways. We can provide the following:
Attendance support
Providing families resources or connecting them to services that can help
High school preparation for 8th graders
Career options for students
Academic support to help students with organization, time management and maintaining grades
Social/emotional support for anxiety, depression, anger, etc. (work with whole classes, small groups or individual students)
Teaching students coping, anger management, attention and various other skills
Supporting students with emergency situations throughout the school day
Connecting students and families with trauma and grief services
Help connecting with therapy services, including school-based Denver Health and Jewish Family Services
Help connecting with medical services
Connecting students with drug and alcohol prevention and intervention services
Prevention work for student safety
Special education evaluations and services
504 evaluations and services for classroom support
