Geography Challenge Questions for 1/16/2018
This week’s question are:
Interesting facts about South America.
Newcomer: Can you find the Equator on a map?
Primary students: Name South American countries the Equator passes through.
4th grade and up: What are the 2 main languages spoken in South America? Which country’s official language is different than all the others?
Answers for last week:
Primary: The 7 countries that make up Central America are Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama.
4th grade and up: An isthmus is a narrow strip of land that connects 2 larger land masses.
Each month a student who answers many of the weekly Geography Challenge questions is chosen as the student of the month.
Congratulations to 5th grade student, Sifa Rwabose. She is the Great Geography Challenge student of the month for March. She received a prize and her picture will be displayed next to the world map by the cafeteria.
